A Dutch Colonial early 19th century padouk and ebony bureau
the panelled fall enclosing eight short drawers, four pigeon holes and one long drawer, above lopers with: ‘V.O.C’ carved to the centre, over two short and two long drawers, on a cavetto plinth base, with two later detachable baluster turned and stile feet, probably originally belonging to the Dutch East Indies company, 101cm wide, 51cm deep, 92.5cm high (39.5in wide, 20in deep, 36in high).
