About Royal Albert:
Established in 1896 in Stoke-on-Trent, England, by Thomas Wild and the father-son duo of Toast Clark Wild. The name “Albert” is borrowed from Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, and their grandson, Prince Albert George (later George V).
In a stroke of luck, they were commissioned to create a commemorative item for Queen Victoria’s 60th anniversary in 1897, earning them the title “Royal Albert” in 1904 as a supplier to the British royal family.
